Very friendly service and great Late and cakes!

This cafe located in the Wide and Narrow lane tourist district of Chengdu has a great atmosphere and has excellent Late and cakes. A very cozy feel and very friendly service. They also offer Siphon coffee which comes in a port for 6 which taste great.

What first capture my attention was the name of the cafe. It is located in a beautiful courtyard in a restored part of the old town of Chengdu. An excellent place to stop by for a coffee on a cold winter day!

One of the best coffee I had in Beijing!

As you know I don’t have a habit to promote having a coffee at an hotel restaurant; actually this web site was built purposely for the opposite. You learn from life that sometime there are exception to the rule. Scarlett is managed by a French guy who has obviously took good care of teaching his waiters how to prepare a the perfect coffee. Actually one of the best I had in Beijing. And if you have never heard of the G hotel; I strongly encourage you to look it up. A really cool boutique hotel with a friendly service.

Fresh look, fresh food and fresh coffee.

Fort those who know the restaurant scene in Beijing you will have heard of Assaggi; one of the best Italian restaurant in Beijing. Panino Teca is owned by the same people and offer a more relax and refreshing environment; a lot of white; some excellent Panini and perfectly brewed coffee.

This is an excellent area of Beijing for art lovers!

Often compared to The Bookworm is another hang out place in Beijing where you can pick up a book from its extensive library while sipping a frothy cappuccino. Le Petit Gourmand is especially nice in the winter as it has a fireplace to keep you warm.

The Bookworm is an original concept; but not unique in Beijing, where you can enjoy a coffee while reading a book from its library. Visitors are encouraged to bring their old books over and leave them behind for others to enjoy. The coffee is good and the ambience has this cozy feeling that you are seating in a library with your coffee. From time to time you may have guest musician playing at night.
